What is Kukumiku?
Kukumiku is a donation crowdfunding platform created to support fundraisings of non-profit causes and projects.
In Kukumiku there are personal causes, NGOs and all kinds of solidarity projects with people, companies, entities and groups willing to help.
What is donation crowdfunding?
Donation crowdfunding is collective financing or crowdfunding through which many people make small contributions to finance a project, cause or social initiative.
Thanks to this type of collaborative and participatory systems, the union and support of many through small gestures makes possible great achievements and makes this world a better place.

Who drives Kukumiku?
Kukumiku is a platform created by the Kukumiku Foundation, a non-profit organization created in 2016 to launch the platform and put into practice the goals we defend: promoting solidarity, facilitating diffusion and access to funds for non-profit projects, promote transparency in the sector and involve all actors in society in a more collaborative and participatory model.
When you use Kukumiku you are supporting a project and a way of seeing the world, the economy and social relations with ethics and values. There are no profits or dividends, everything is reinvested in the common mission of helping others.
What makes us different?
Kukumiku is a way of seeing the world and crowdfunding through a more ethical and pragmatic perspective, without commitments, prejudices, or ties, which allows us to help with passion and vocation.
You will find a crowdfunding platform with all the tools you need, a team of experts willing to help and advise you, fundraising giveaways, strong commitment to transparency, multiple payment channels, tips for sharing, facilities to donate, tools to involve companies and flexibility to adapt the campaign to your needs and your particular story.

How a campaign works
What kinds of projects are accepted at Kukumiku?
The projects must be non-profit and to help people or groups in a clear situation of need.
This description includes personal and collective projects of various categories.
What kinds of projects are NOT accepted at Kukumiku?
Projects for profit or that discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion or origin are not accepted.
For helping whom can I create a campaign?
It can be to help a friend, a relative, a group of people or an entity.
The beneficiaries of the campaign can be from anywhere on the planet because help does not understand about borders 🙂
What types of campaigns are there?
Campaigns can have the economic goal and duration deadline that you want or even can have neither goal nor deadline.
We are flexible and we adapt to the needs of each project.
About project promoters
Who can create a donation crowdfunding campaign?
Campaigns can be created by individuals, entities or companies.
If you are a minor, there must be a person over 18 years of age as responsible.
Can I continue receiving donation if I reach my economic goal?
Yes, of course. You can until the campaign reaches its end date.
If you wish, you can also extend your goal and even the duration of your campaign whenever you want
How can I publish my project?
The first thing you should do is register your project in the “Create project” button.
You will access a form where step by step you will select and describe the characteristics of your campaign, you will tell your story, who you are or who you are, what you need, why it is important for people to help you, what are the financial aspects…
How long does it take to approve a campaign?
You will receive a first assessment in less than 48 hours. Usually on the same day.
The deadline to publish it will depend on whether everything is correct or any modification is recommended. If everything is correct, it can be published on the same day.
How long does it take to receive the funds?
It depends on the type of project. If the project has an economic goal or a deadline, you will receive the proceeds once that period ends.
If there is no deadline, you can request it whenever you want.
Can I add rewards?
In Kukumiku there is no usual reward system like in other types of crowdfunding because the collaborations are legally considered as donations and therefore there can be no reward for the donor.
Alternatively, if there is the possibility of offering something material or immaterial in the form of symbolic gratitude, as long as it is the same for all collaborators regardless of the amount they have contributed. If you have any action in mind, contact us and we will help you.
About donors
How can I make a donation?
You can donate using the following payment methods:

Direct debit (Only for recurring donations)
Is there a donation limit?
No. There is a minimum of € 5 but the maximum is up to you.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. You can make your donation anonymous at the time of payment.
Can I get a tax-deduction certificate with my donation?
Yes, Kukumiku is a platform owned by the Kukumiku Foundation, a non-profit entity registered in the Registry of Foundations with number F411.
How can I obtain my Certificate to deduct taxes?
You can request your Certificate at the time you make the donation. It will arrive by email and you can also download it from your user area in case of having created an user account.
Can I request a Certificate of a donation if I did not request it at the time I was making the donation?
Yes, if you did not request the certificate when making the donation, you can still request it by writing to us here or from your user area.
Keep in mind that donations made during a year are notified to the Treasury in January of the following year. If you have not requested it in advance, we will not be able to notify you and you will have to do it.
Do I need to be a register user to donate?
No, it is not necessary, unless you want to donate on a monthly basis or participate in giveaways.
Can I donate on a recurring (monthly) basis?
Yes, in Kukumiku you can collaborate with one or more campaigns on a monthly basis.
When is the charge made if I donate on a monthly basis?
The charge is made the day you started the collaboration and the same day of all the following months until you voluntarily stop the collaboration or end the campaigns that you support (if you have not added new ones before).
Can I stop my monthly donations whenever I want?
Yes, at any time you can modify, stop or end your monthly donations.
How can I get a Donation Certificate if I donate on a monthly basis?
In the same way as a one-time donation, you can request a certificate about your monthly donations. We will notify the Treasury of the total amount at the end of the year.

What are the Kukumiku fundraising giveaways?
The fundraising giveaways are a Kukumiku tool to promote the non-profit causes.
They are the best way to carry out the traditional giveaway only with the advantage of being able to do them online, expanding the range and facilitating participation.
How do the giveaways work?
The donation giveaways can have one or more prizes and one or more winners and can have the duration you want.
The only thing you should keep in mind is that donors will have the same chance of being the winners regardless of how much money they have donated .
Remember that the main function of a giveaway is to spread the word and draw attention to what is important: the cause.
How can I create a giveaway?
To create a giveaway you must first create a crowdfunding campaign telling the story for which you want to raise funds and then add the giveaway attract more people.

Who can participate in a giveaway?
Anyone who donate to your donation crowdfunding campaign and chooses to participate in the giveaway. The quantity does not matter.
What prizes can I offer in a giveaway?
You can giveaway any good or service that you have or that someone donates to you for that purpose.
It is recommended that it be attractive enough to attract and generate diffusion. Remember that this is the main goal of a giveaway: To attract donors. If the award is not attractive enough or costs you money, it isn’t worth it.
For this reason, it is recommended that the prizes are something that a company or some famous person donates to us to support the cause.
Can I giveaway multiple prizes?
Yes, you can giveaway multiple prizes and run multiple giveaways.
A giveaway can have multiple prizes and a winner for each prize.

How is the winner of a draw selected?
In principle, the platform itself, using a totally random algorithm, selects a winner at the end of the draw period. It also selects a first alternate and second alternate for each award.
If for reasons of communication or any scheduled event either in situ or on social networks you want to select the winner you just have to request it to us. Always once provided that the winner’s selection system is guaranteed to be fair and random.
How is the prize delivered to the winner?
That will depend on you and the type of prize. You will have to tell us how a winner can access the prize so that we will tell them once they have accepted it.
What happens if someone rejects the prize?
When a giveaway ends, we will contact the winners to notify them and they will have a period of 10 business days to reply by accepting the prize.
If you reject it or do not answer within the established time, we will contact the first alternate, and if the same happens again, the second alternate.
Does it have any cost to run a giveaway?
No, there is no aditional fee to hold a giveaway in Kukumiku. It is just one more tool available to campaigns.
In addition, we take care of all the management, creation of legal bases, conducting the draw and communication with the winners.
The only cost there may be is that of sending the prize to the winner.
If a company donates a prize to giveaway, can I get a Donation Certificate?
Yes, if a company donates you a good or a service to giveaway it you can request a Donation Certificate for the company and deduct the monetary value of the good or the service.
